Which Norfolk Show Ground entrance should I use?Athletes and spectators will enter through the SOUTH entrance on the day.
Where should I park on the day?All parking will be clearly displayed on the day - Please follow the signs/directions!
Do I have to pay for parking?No, all parking will be FREE!
Can I purchase any Blakely apparel on the day?Yes, there will be two retail areas. A pop-up store in the main arena with exclusive products and our biggest sample sale yet in the outside area.
Where should I sign in?Athletes and Spectators are required to sign in, this will be located in the Main Atrium and Blakely staff will be around with any questions/queries regarding tickets and admission!
Who can participate in APEX?12 gyms across Norfolk have chosen their best athletes to compete in APEX.
If competing at APEX, how early should I get there before my wave?Athletes competing at APEX should aim to arrive an hour before, this will allow enough time for check-in, warm-up and preparation, we encourage athletes to support one-another and spectate/cheer them on as its a whole day event!

Is there an athlete briefing beforehand?Yes! All athletes will be briefed on the day before their wave, there is also plenty of information on our website.
What type of workouts are included in the day?Each wave will have three zones with a variety of different workouts to push yourself to the limit!Each zone has a focus point, The first zone will be a strength-based workout with AMRAP. The second zone will be an endurance test attempting to achieve the longest distance possible for your team. The last zone in the wave will be a summit workout, focusing on your functional fitness with AMRAP as-well.
What time is each wave/ What are the start times?First Wave Start : 10:00amFirst Wave Finish : 11:30am Second Wave Start : 12:00am Second Wave Finish : 13:30pm Third wave Start : 14:00pm Third Wave Finish : 15:30pm Each wave will have a 30 minute rest and recovery period in-between!
How long is each wave?Each wave is an hour and a half with a 30 minute rest and recovery break in-between!.
Is water provided during the event?Yes! There will be 3 water stations to stay refuel and stay hydrated throughout the course of the day.
Will there be food / drink available?There will be various food trucks with an array of options. All dietary requirements will be covered.
Can I bring my own food and drink?Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food!There will be plenty of grass space to set up your picnic and if you’d like the option to grab some food, we will have some amazing food/drink vendors available on site.
What is the Shake Out?The Shakeout is a 3k run to open to anyone, this is a perfect excuse to stretch out your legs if you're racing on the 8th September!
What time is the Shakeout?The shakeout will also be divided into three waves to allow each attendee enough room and space! The times are as follows :Wave One Start : 11:40am Wave Two Start : 13:40pm Wave Three Start : 15:40pm The shakeout will be ran by Jake Pye from PERFIT.
Can anyone take part in the Shake Out?Yes! All you will need is a QR code by signing up HERE
Will there be any other activities to participate in throughout the day?Yes! There will be loads going on all day so make sure to walk around, explore and try new things.Our exciting lineup includes recovery ice baths, a DJ, yoga with Katrina from KWCyoga and many more pop-ups on the day.
Do I need to bring anything with me on the day?Bring yourself! There is no essential items you need to bring, wear comfortable shoes, your best workout outfit and your scannable QR code to join in on the fun.
What should I do if I get injured on the day?If you injure or hurt yourself at the event, please make a member of staff aware and St. Johns ambulance will be on hand to help.
Do spectators need a ticket to watch?Yes, spectators will need to purchase a FREE ticket to come and support their friends and family.Click HERE for tickets.
Will the workout be captured on camera?Yes, our full content team will be there on the day to capture all things APEX!
Are there rest periods between each zone?Yes! There will be a 10 minute rest period between each zone.
How does the scoring/point system work?Each wave will be scored unique to itself, details to follow on our website explaining which workout/exercise scores X amount of points, how it’s achieved and how you can try collect them points!
Are there any winner prizes?The winner will be announced After 4:30pm so make sure to stick around to see our APEX winner.
How do I differentiate the Blakey Staff?The Blakely staff will all be wearing a grey 'BLAKELY' t-shirt with a lanyard on with their name and role on it.Please feel free to approach any of the Blakely staff throughout the day and we’d be happy to help and assist.
Is it a cashless event?For your convenience, both cash and card will be accepted at this event.
Can I bring my dog?Unfortunately, no dogs are permitted at this event, so please leave your furry friends at home!
Is there wheelchair access?The Norfolk Show Ground is fully accessible with designated parking and facilities for disabled visitors.
Can my family come and watch me compete?Yes, All spectators will need to purchase a ticket on EventBrite, there is a link on our website to access the tickets.Feel free to come and support your friends and family and cheer them on!
Is the event child friendly?Yes, the venue is child-friendly. However, due to it being a high-intensity event we kindly ask children to stay behind the spectator barriers throughout the day.
Can I enter APEX?Apex is an invite only event for competitors, but you can join us as a spectator and enter next year!
Will I be able to make any exchanges from the sample sale items after my purchase?No, all items purchased from the Sample Sale rails are non returnable and non refundable.
Are there changing facilities available onsite to try clothes on?Yes, we will have changing rooms available onsite.
